Best Western Solhem Hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Ellen at the front desk was delightful and very helpful throughout our stay, answering many questions with patience and accuracy. Her assistance definitely made our visit much easier and more enjoyable. Breakfast was a huge buffet with a large variety of hot and cold items. One could eat outside or inside, but if you eat outside don’t leave your food unattended due to friendly birds. There are about 12 free parking spaces in front of the hotel as well as free parking in the neighboring street. If there is no free parking, there is for-pay parking behind the hotel, paid for at the front desk. Our room was clean and met our expectations. It included a nice balcony which was unexpected where we enjoyed our takeaway pizza Al fresco. The hotel is located steps from the Visby medieval wall so it is very easy to walk into and from town to visit the sites and eat. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

The location was great close to the ferry terminal and east walking distance to Visby old town. It was very comfortable.

Great location with the city within easy walking distance. The breakfast was really good - one of the best ones in a while. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was cozy and clean - some parts were in need of a renovation/redoing but some parts had been modernized (interior in the common areas etc.).

We stayed twice in this hotel, traveled by bike with a toddler and a small dog. We received great help and kindenss. The staff is very helpful. Also a huge thank you to the cleaning staff, who was patient, helpful and very professional. The breakfast is perfect, great variety also for who likes sweets!
